Aimee: Hey everyone, it's me, Aimee. Just me here today, but I am really happy that I get to be the one to share more news with you about what's coming up for 2025
for Joy Lab and Natural Mental Health. So if you missed the last update in November, then it's news for you that the Joy Lab podcast and program will soon be part of a non profit organization called Pathways North. We talked about this in episode 184, I so I'll pop that in the show notes if you missed it. [00:01:00] This is a really awesome opportunity for us because it will help us expand this work
we do. And the mental health benefits of the work we do together is big and that matters, but we don't just focus on digging out of what feels bad to hit a neutral baseline, which is kind of where mental health usually sits. We are so completely focused on helping you go beyond that to create a more calm, connected, and joyful life.
And in such a way that feels good, that feels empowering, and in such a way that spreads in its biggest sense to everything, everyone around us. And that's the truth. This work that we do to support our own mental health, it ripples out, it creates a calmer, more connected, more joyful world. It just does.
It's a law of nature. And we can all do that. I think it's the biggest legacy that we can live, that we can [00:02:00] tend to our inner life in such a way that nourishes ourselves and that spreads to the world around us. Let's do it. That's what we're doing here. We need it. Also, I wanted to, let you know that we have a new podcast coming over at natural mental health.
I hinted to this, I think I told you about it in a previous episode. It's going to be called the Natural Mental Health Podcast. So we'll address in that podcast, more specific mental health concerns, like bashing mental health stigma. But our focus will also be on what's often called lifestyle medicine to help us really care for our body and mind in essential ways.
So lifestyle medicine really gets at the sort of daily practices and habits related to sleep, nutrition, exercise, stress management, healthy relationships, all of those things that we can implement in our daily lives to improve [00:03:00] wellbeing. So that'll be more of the focus over at the Natural Mental Health Podcast.
Uh, the Natural Mental Health Podcast will be a perfect compliment to Joy Lab, this one. So I would really recommend listening to both. Be sure to sign up for the Natural Mental Health newsletter. I'll pop that in the show notes so that you can join us and tune into that first episode.
So here we are nearing the end of this year and I am really excited for what's ahead. We're going to create some really good things this year individually as we do this work to nourish ourselves, to tend to our inner lives and collectively as it ripples out. So if you have any questions, comments, ideas, please reach out, head to joylab.coach or naturalmentalhealth.com and fill out the contact form. We want to hear from you. So I will close with a quote from Jane Goodall. I think it speaks to our power and why [00:04:00] we focus on these elements of joy and this work of uncovering our joy and building our resilience. Here it is. "What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make."
