Joy Lab is built on our Four Pillars
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Positive Psychology
Science of Mindfulness
Wisdom of the Soul
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
The first pillar, cognitive behavioral therapy, or CBT, involves becoming more skilled at dealing with your own thoughts and emotions. These principles and practices of CBT are some of the most effective tools to reduce depression and anxiety.
Positive Psychology
The second pillar, Positive psychology, is a holistic approach to assessment and behavior change that focuses more on what's right rather than what's wrong. This more positive lens is an effective strategy to not just address singular mental health struggles, but it's an approach that can ignite positive spirals to fuel more broad and meaningful changes in every facet of wellbeing.
The Science of Mindfulness
The third pillar, the Science of Mindfulness, includes very practical, accessible ways to get ourselves back on track by honing the skill of putting our attention where we want it. Mindfulness blends beautifully with CBT and positive psychology, offering a natural and life affirming understanding of what goes on inside of us.
The Wisdom of the Soul
The fourth pillar is what we call the Wisdom of the Soul. We see this deepest part of ourselves as our most wise teacher and supporter. It is an ever-present asset within us that is always nourishing. Rediscovering and working with this capacity within you is powerful fuel for joy.
